Epic Note Templates - I search their note template and steal the dot phrase they use as needed. Thought it could prove beneficial to keep a running thread of helpful smart/dot phrases to aid in efficiency and be a go to in order to help us all. All extremely helpful if you take the time to build them properly. Epic Note Templates - I think it’s a systems/it thing, so in theory you could do a lot to customize but you’d need to have someone make it. You Will Likely Not Get Through Medical School

For example i have one for uri exam and abdominal pain that documents a normal exam and then i can edit any positives, negatives or delete things i didn't actually do. Having your reference materials easily available directly in epic makes it very convenient and you never have to worry about where that information is stored. I would greatly appreciate any epic dot phrases/ cheat sheets. Some Of My Favorite Dot Phrases Are

I have smartphrase templates for soap notes, admit h&ps, some specialty things like ob or neonatal h&ps, as well as some smartphrases that fill in stuff for the plan like diabetes care or chf care etc. Or pull them directly into your note, read it, the ctrl + z to undo adding it. So for example, i have a normal mse template that i can insert into a note by typing .mse. So epic is used in 34% of healthcare settings in the us.
